The party or parties hiring goods from Pipeline Rentals shall hereafter be referred to as 'The Hirer'. These terms and conditions shall equally apply to any person nominated by the hirer as their agent.
Pipeline Rentals will make every effort to provide items as booked. However, their liability for non-supply will be limited to the value of the hire contract only.
To reserve the garments the hirer will be required to pay a holding deposit, which will be credited against the hire charges. This holding deposit is not returnable if hirer cancels.
Additionally, a security deposit equal to one week's hire charge will be payable before goods are released to the hirer. This deposit will be returned to the hirer upon the safe and timely return of the hired items.
The hirer further agrees:
1. To return the hired items on time, and in a clean condition*.
2. That if the items are not returned in such a condition or are returned after the return date stated on the agreement form (see 6.), further charges may be deducted from the security deposit as follows:
Cancellation:
Cancellations of bookings are subject to a fee of half the rental charge if cancelled 4 weeks from the booking date, the full price if cancelled 2 weeks from the booking date.
Late return:
Each extra day beyond the agreed return date will be charged at double the standard daily rate (discounts do not apply).
The fourth day after the agreed return date the hirer will be liable for the full retail replacement value of the items you have hired. This will incur charges over and above the value of the security deposit, for which you will be invoiced.
In the case of genuinely unavoidable delay (e.g. delayed flights) part or all of these charges may be reduced or waived at our discretion. The hirer should inform Pipeline of such emergencies as soon as possible.
Cleaning:
Any cleaning required to remove stains or soiling not removable by washing will be charged at cost.
3. That the cost of any repairs due to damage done whilst on hire will be deducted from the security deposit.
4. That loss or serious damage may be charged at the full retail replacement value of the items. (This would include damage that may be cosmetic only, but would render the garment unsuitable for re-hiring.)
5. That late return may render them liable for any consequential costs incurred.
6. For mail order customers - that items returned by post or carrier must be dispatched and/or postmarked within two days of the last day of hire unless otherwise agreed. E.g. customers returning from holiday on Saturday must despatch by Monday. Each day's delay in dispatch thereafter will be subject to penalty as in (2.) above.
The items above that relate to late return are designed to ensure timely return of hired items, not to create extra revenue. It is therefore hoped that customers will cooperate to ensure the smooth running of this service by adhering to their agreed return dates.
